Estimation of rotational degrees of freedom by EMA and FEM mode shapes

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper a new technique is presented to estimate the rotational degrees of freedom of a flexural structure, using only a limited number of sensors that measure the translational DoFs of the system.

Classifying Turbomachinery Blade Mode Shapes Using Artificial Neural Networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Currently, extensive signal analysis is performed in order to evaluate structural health of turbomachinery blades. This approach is affected by constraints of time and the availability of qualified personnel.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Mass-Stiffness Combined Perturbation Method for Mode Shape Monitoring of Bridge Structures

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2019
Identification of the mode shapes through monitoring is one of the key problems in damage diagnosis based on modal parameters especially for damaged structures.

Imaging the mode shapes of microdrum resonators

open access: yes, 2015
A setup was built to measure the local frequency response of (graphene) microdrums in order to image mode shapes. To this end, a laser interferometer that measures the local deflection of a microdrum was equipped with a very precisely movable sample ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Determination of mode shapes of a multiple cracked beam element and its application for free vibration analysis of a multi-span continuous beam

open access: yesVietnam Journal of Mechanics, 2013
This article presents some results on the determination of the vibration shape function of a multiple cracked elastic beam element, which is modeled as an assembly of intact sub-segments connected by massless rotational springs.
