Combined/Composite Model Reference Adaptive Control

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2009
This technical note introduces a provably stable state-feedback design modification for combined/composite adaptive control of multi-input multi-output dynamical systems with matched uncertainties. The proposed design methodology is applied to control longitudinal dynamics of an aerial vehicle.

Stability in qualitative model reference adaptive control

1999 European Control Conference (ECC), 1999
In this paper a Model Reference Adaptive Control system is presented which is based on qualitative (less precise) models. These qualitative models can represent the underlying physical system accurately even with low order models. Further, multi-valued performance specifications can be expressed explicitly by a qualitative model in the form of a ...

Discrete-Time Direct Model Reference Adaptive Control Application in a High-Precision Inertially Stabilized Platform

IEEE transactions on industrial electronics (1982. Print), 2019
This paper studies the practical use of discrete-time direct adaptive control in a high-precision inertially stabilized platform's turbulence isolation system for the purpose of enhancing isolation performance.

Hybrid Model Reference Adaptive Fuzzy Controller

2009 Second International Conference on Emerging Trends in Engineering & Technology, 2009
This paper describes a hybrid controller combining a Model Reference Fuzzy Controller (MRFC) and Simple fuzzy logic control (FLC) for vector controlled permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is described. First, an MRFC system is designed to allow the plant states to follow the states produced by a reference model.

Indirect Binary Model Reference Adaptive Control

2011 9th IEEE International Conference on Control and Automation (ICCA), 2011
This paper proposes an Indirect Binary Model Reference Adaptive Controller (IB-MRAC), with the main objective of combining the steady-state features of controllers based in integral parameter adaptation with the fast and non oscillatory transient of variable structure based strategies.

Generalized Model Reference Adaptive Control by Means of Global HOSM Differentiators

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2019
In this paper, we combine a global differentiator based on higher-order sliding modes (HOSM) and dynamic gains with classical model reference adaptive control (MRAC) schemes to solve the relevant and yet open problem of trajectory tracking via output ...

Stochastic adaptive prediction and model reference control

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1994
The authors propose a comprehensive theory of stochastic adaptive filtering, control and identification. They analyze two identification algorithms each for two possible parametrizations of the system and indirect and direct adaptive predictors each based on either a least- square or a gradient algorithm.

ON REDUCED ORDER MODEL REFERENCE ADAPTIVE CONTROL

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1991
Abstract This work deals with the relaxation of one |of the basic assumptions in the model reference approach to the adaptive control of unknown linear SISO systems, namely, the assumption concerning the a-priori knowledge of the relative degree. The elimination of such an assumption allows a unified treatment of both the unmodeled dynamic case and ...

Model reference adaptive control of advertising systems

2017 American Control Conference (ACC), 2017
Internet advertising is a relatively new area where feedback control has become critically important for scalable optimization. But using feedback control in this space is challenging due to nonlinear, time-varying, and uncertain plants. In this paper we propose a high-fidelity model reference adaptive controller for reference tracking of budget ...
