ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment and exercise intolerance are common in dialysis patients. Cerebral perfusion and oxygenation play a major role in both cognitive function and exercise execution; HD session per se aggravates cerebral ischemia in this population. This study aimed to compare cerebral oxygenation and perfusion at rest and in mild

Single Link Robot Arm Trajectory Following Using Model Reference Adaptive Control Algorithm [PDF]
Robust adaptive tracking control algorithm is proposed in this paper for single link robot arm position control. A model reference adaptive control algorithm is applied to control the angular position of the robot arm by tuning the parameters of the ...

Network traffic behaviour near phase transition point [PDF]
We explore packet traffic dynamics in a data network model near phase transition point from free flow to congestion. The model of data network is an abstraction of the Network Layer of the OSI (Open Systems Interconnection) Reference Model of packet ...

ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

Lyapunov-Based Two-Degree-of-Freedom Model Reference Adaptive Control of Axial-Piston Pump
The article is devoted to the synthesis, implementation, simulation and experimental study of a real-time Lyapunov-based two-degree-of-freedom model reference adaptive controller (MRAC) for an axial-piston pump.

Integral MRAC with Minimal Controller Synthesis and bounded adaptive gains: The continuous-time case [PDF]
Model reference adaptive controllers designed via the Minimal Control Synthesis (MCS) approach are a viable solution to control plants affected by parameter uncertainty, unmodelled dynamics, and disturbances.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Adaptive Control with Reference Model Modification [PDF]
This paper presents a modification of the conventional model reference adaptive control (MRAC) architecture in order to improve transient performance of the input and output signals of uncertain systems.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
