Photonic Neural Networks with Kramers–Kronig Activation
Kramers–Kronig relationship is a universal property of nature and optically links the imaginary and real part of the refractive index. This work is employed to produce nonlinear activation, namely Kramers–Kronig activation (KKA), which is critical for the neural networks but challenging to be optically implemented.

Self‐Aligned Polymer Film Patterning on Microstructured Silicon Surfaces
A selective deposition of polymers by dewetting and grafting‐from approach is presented, making use of material surface contrast generated through a selective etching process for silicon samples with buried p‐implants, which allowed to self‐align the polymer coverage selectively above (grafting from) or next to (dewetting) the buried p‐implants of the ...

Herein a light‐driven micromechanical oscillator on optical fiber tip is developed, which can be operated by a low optical power (in the mW or even the µW range), can produce large mechanical displacements (>5–100 µm), and can be designed to operate at frequencies from sub‐kHz up to more than 200 kHz.

Ultrasensitive nanoscale optomechanical electrometer using photonic crystal cavities
Abstract High‐precision detection of electric charge is critical for physical, chemical, and biological measurements. Nanophotonic optomechanical system confines the optical field at the nanoscale and enables a strong interaction between optical cavity and mechanical resonator.
