Azathioprine therapy in a case of pediatric multiple sclerosis that was seropositive for MOG-IgG

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Neuroscience, 2017
There is a lack of evidence for treatment of pediatric multiple sclerosis (PedMS). Treatment using azathioprine for PedMS has not been reported. A 10-year-old boy with multiple sclerosis who was seropositive for antibodies against myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG)-IgG was treated with azathioprine plus oral methylprednisolone.

Clinical, prognostic and pathophysiological implications of MOG-IgG detection in the CSF: the importance of intrathecal MOG-IgG synthesis

open access: yesJournal of Neurology, Neurosurgery & Psychiatry
BackgroundCerebrospinal fluid myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein IgG (CSF MOG-IgG) are found in a proportion of patients with MOG antibody-associated disorder (MOGAD) and have been associated with severe disease presentations. However, most studies did not systematically investigate the role of MOG-IgG intrathecal synthesis (ITS).MethodsWe ...

Diagnostic implications of MOG-IgG detection in sera and cerebrospinal fluids

Brain, 2023
AbstractThe spectrum of MOG-IgG-associated disease (MOGAD) includes optic neuritis (ON), myelitis (MY), acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), brainstem encephalitis, cerebral cortical encephalitis (CE) and AQP4-IgG-negative neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD).

Overlapping syndrome of MOG-IgG-associated disease and autoimmune GFAP astrocytopathy

Journal of Neurology, 2020
Antibodies against myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG-IgG) have been considered to be closely relevant to an inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system (CNS). Glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) immunoglobulin G (IgG) has been identified as a biomarker for a novel autoimmune astrocytopathy. However, coexistence of MOG-IgG
