Functional Biomaterials Derived from Protein Liquid–Liquid Phase Separation and Liquid‐to‐Solid Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Protein can undergo liquid–liquid phase separation and liquid‐to‐solid transition to form liquid condensates and solid aggregates. These phase transitions can be influenced by post‐translational modifications, mutations, and various environmental factors.

Engineering CAR‐T Therapeutics for Enhanced Solid Tumor Targeting

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
CART cell therapy has proven effective for blood cancers but struggles with solid tumors due to diverse antigens and complex environments. Recent efforts focus on improving CAR design and validation platforms. Advances in protein engineering, machine learning, and organoid systems aim to enhance CAR‐T therapy against solid tumors.

ESCRT III Regulates Lysosomal Perinuclear Clustering by Inhibiting Kinesin 1 Leading to Agnps Cytotoxicity in Human Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
AgNPs cause significant damage upon entering the lysosomes of human fibroblasts, resulting in lysosomal transport disorders and the occurrence of perinuclear clustering (LPC) of lysosomes by promoting apoptosis that is accompanied by a reduction in the expression levels of ESCRT III and Kinesin 1 proteins.

Picomolar Detection of Tau Protein Using 1D Photonic Crystal Biochips for Alzheimer's Disease Diagnosis

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
Elevated levels of Tau in cerebrospinal fluids or other body fluids are associated with the progression of Alzheimer's disease. An optical technique, based on a dual label‐free and fluorescence operation mode, is developed to detect Tau protein in both standard running buffer and cerebrospinal fluid.

Autologous Peripheral Vγ9Vδ2 T Cell Synergizes with αβ T Cell Through Antigen Presentation and BTN3A1 Blockade in Immunotherapy of Cervical Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study provides proof‐of‐concept evidence showing that through direct killing, antigen presentation, and competitively binding to BTN3A1, Vγ9Vδ2 T cells amplified from cervical cancer (CC) patients can synergize with αβ T cells to exert anti‐CC function both in vitro and in vivo.

Inhalable Hsa‐miR‐30a‐3p Liposomes Attenuate Pulmonary Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study explores inhalable hsa‐miR‐30a‐3p‐loaded liposomes as a treatment for bleomycin‐induced pulmonary fibrosis in mice. Hsa‐miR‐30a‐3p is electroporated into liposomes and formulated into a dry powder for inhalation. Delivered via dry powder inhalation, it improves pulmonary function, promotes myofibroblast de‐differentiation by targeting CNPY2 ...
