Molecular Identification of Trichoderma reesei

2020
Fungi comprise one of the most diverse groups of eukaryotes with many cryptic species that are difficult to identify. In this chapter, we detail a protocol for the molecular identification of the most industrially relevant species of Trichoderma-T. reesei.

Molecular identification of diabetogenic viral gene

Diabetes, 1989
The best evidence that viruses have a causative role in the pathogenesis of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus comes from experiments in mice infected with encephalomyocarditis (EMC) virus. When SJL/J male mice were inoculated with a highly diabetogenic EMC-D virus, diabetes developed in 95% of the animals.

Molecular identification of novel viruses

Trends in Microbiology, 1998
Viruses are responsible for many of the diseases caused by microbial infection. During the past two decades, approximately 20 new human viruses have been discovered. Many of these new viruses were initially identified using molecular biology techniques, a major advantage of which is the ability to search rapidly for new viruses, known viruses or ...

Molecular identification of Tetrahymena species

Journal of Eukaryotic Microbiology, 2022
AbstractMitochondrial cox1 689 bp barcodes are routinely used for identification of Tetrahymena species. Here, we examine whether two shorter nuclear sequences, the 5.8S rRNA gene region and the intergenic region between H3 and H4 histone genes, might also be useful either singly or in combination with each other or cox1.

Identification of MHC - molecular biology

Transplant Immunology, 1994
Many of the molecular methods currently in use in the histocompatibility laboratory have been described. The use of a specific technique will depend on the laboratory's requirements. Obviously those laboratories involved in cadaver transplantation will use techniques suitable for single sample analysis which give results within six hours.

Laser-based molecular identification

2006 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics and 2006 Quantum Electronics and Laser Science Conference, 2006
Polarization and phase shaped pulses can now be used for the absolute identification and quantification of mixtures containing isomers and enantiomers. The performance of this methodology will be discussed.

Identification and molecular analysis of BANP

Gene, 2000
BTG3 belongs to a family of structurally related genes whose biochemical functions remain elusive. In order to investigate the mechanism underlying BTG3-mediated functions, we tried to identify BTG3 potential partners. The use of the yeast 'two-hybrid system', with BTG3 as bait, enabled us to isolate BANP (BTG3 Associated Nuclear Protein).
