Short‐chain fatty acids modulate anti‐ROR1 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cell function in an intestinal adenocarcinoma‐on‐chip model. Butyrate and propionate reduce cytotoxicity, cytokine release, and infiltration by inducing a regulatory T‐cell phenotype and T‐cell exhaustion via histone deacetylase inhibition.

To the problem of spectral mimicry of supergiants [PDF]
The phenomenon of spectral mimicry refers to the fact that hypergiants and post-AGB supergiants - stars of different masses in fundamentally different stages of their evolution have similar optical spectra, and also share certain other characteristics (unstable and extended atmospheres, expanding gas-dust envelopes, high IR excesses). As a consequence,

A Response to Glaze Purification via IMPRESS [PDF]
Recent work proposed a new mechanism to remove protective perturbation added by Glaze in order to again enable mimicry of art styles from images protected by Glaze. Despite promising results shown in the original paper, our own tests with the authors' code demonstrated several limitations of the proposed purification approach.

Melanoma cell spheroid engraftment is optimized in the chicken chorioallantoic membrane overcoming the complexity of other in vivo models. Using this model, greater penetration of cerium oxide nanoparticles (nanoceria) functionalized with heparin in spheroids is observed via enhancement of vascularization than nanoceria alone.

Umpolung Synthesis of Pyridyl Ethers by BiV‐Mediated O‐Arylation of Pyridones
We demonstrate that sterically‐ and electronically‐diverse pyridyl ethers can be accessed via BiV‐mediated C−O coupling of 2‐ or 4‐pyridones with arylboronic acids. Use of a bismacyclic reagent not only confers modularity on our methodology, but also results in highly regioselective O‐arylation that is unprecedented for BiV.

Inflammasome Molecular Insights in Autoimmune Diseases
Autoimmune diseases (AIDs) emerge due to an irregular immune response towards self- and non-self-antigens. Inflammation commonly accompanies these conditions, with inflammatory factors and inflammasomes playing pivotal roles in their progression.

A Bio‐Inspired Perspective on Materials Sustainability
This perspective discusses natural materials as inspiration for sustainable engineering designs and the processing of materials. First, circularity, longevity, parsimony, and activity are presented as essential material paradigms. The perspective then uses many examples of natural and technical materials to introduce principles such as oligo ...

Anti-ganglioside anti-idiotypic vaccination: more than molecular mimicry.
Surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy are standard modalities for cancer treatment, but the effectiveness of these treatments has reached a plateau. Thus, other strategies are being explored to combine with the current treatment paradigms in order

Supramolecular Chemistry in Metal–Organic Framework Materials
This review highlights synergies between reticular chemistry and supramolecular chemistry. The role of supramolecular interactions in determining framework…guest interactions and attempts to understand dynamic behavior in metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), particularly emphasizing the development of crystal sponges, studying reactions in frameworks and ...
