Cytochrome P450 monooxygenases
The field of P450 research is progressing rapidly. The active sites of structurally characterized bacterial P450 enzymes have been rationally re-engineered to alter both substrate specificity and selectivity of substrate oxidation. Many human P450 enzymes have been functionally expressed and new methods of substrate turnover described.

Herein we describe the first representative of an E2-type two-component styrene monooxygenase of proteobacteria. It comprises a single epoxidase protein (VpStyA1) and a two domain protein (VpStyA2B) harboring an epoxidase (A2) and a FAD-reductase (B ...

First insights into structure-function relationships of alkylglycerol monooxygenase
Alkylglycerol monooxygenase is a tetrahydrobiopterin-dependent enzyme that cleaves the O-alkyl-bond of alkylglycerols. It is an exceptionally unstable, hydrophobic membrane protein which has never been purified in active form.

Unraveling the Role of P450 Reductase in Herbicide Metabolic Resistance Mechanism
Plants require cytochrome P450 reductase (CPR) to supply two electrons for cytochrome P450 monooxygenase enzymes (P450) to react with an organic substrate.

Peptidylglycine monooxygenase activity of monomeric species of growth hormone
C-terminal α-amidation of peptides is an important event in the course of pro-hormone and neuropeptide processing; it is a modification that contributes to the biological activity and stability of about 25 peptides in neural and endocrine systems.
