ABSTRACT Rationale Hemicelluloses are abundant carbohydrate components in plant cell walls. They play a crucial structural role in binding cellulose microfibrils, in addition to other biological functions. Their high structural variability directly influences their biological properties, making it important to establish a structure–function ...

Burkholderia pseudomallei: animal models of infection.
A range of animal models of Burkholderia pseudomallei infection have been reported, and the host species differ widely both in their susceptibility to infection and in the pathogenesis of disease.

ABSTRACT Background/Aims Non‐coeliac gluten sensitivity (NCGS) is a controversial entity, characterised by symptom improvement with gluten exclusion in the absence of coeliac disease. We primarily investigated the effects of acute and sub‐acute gluten on psychological and mood profiles, with secondary outcomes examining gastrointestinal symptoms and ...

Blood group O expression in normal tissues and tumors
The H antigen (O blood group), the precursor to A and B blood groups, is expressed on human erythrocytes. Two novel monoclonal antibodies generated using sea lamprey immunization, Tn4‐31L and OmcFL3‐02, specifically detect the H antigen on glycan microarrays, glycoproteins, and human cells.

Metabolomic fingerprints analyzed from oral rinses are able to distinguish between severe periodontitis (stage III/IV) patients and non‐periodontitis controls. ABSTRACT Aims To explore the potential of metabolomic profiles of oral rinse samples to distinguish between patients with severe periodontitis (stage III/IV) and non‐periodontitis controls. This
