A variety of impacting factors in the pathogenesis of periodontitis exist, including systemic, lifestyle, and environmental factors. This review highlights the manifold mechanistic aspects of the link between the pathogenesis of periodontitis, addressing these numerous factors to supplement the long‐standing knowledge of the progression of the disease.

Summary Cyanobacteria are major components of biofilms in light‐exposed environments, contributing to nutrient cycling, nitrogen fixation and global biogeochemical processes. Although nitrogen‐fixing cyanobacteria have been successfully used in biofertilization, the regulatory mechanisms underlying biofilm formation remain poorly understood.

Unveiling the catalytical roles of three glycosyltransferases in triterpenoid saponins in quinoa

Summary Saponins constitute a class of characteristic compounds within quinoa grains. In this study, metabolomic analysis identified 20 triterpene saponins, the majority of which were exclusively localized within the pericarp. Furthermore, three crucial glycosyltransferases were identified in quinoa.

Ganoderma sinense soluble dietary fiber (GSSDF) alleviates nonalcoholic fatty liver disease by regulating lipid metabolism and reducing oxidative stress.
