Mass Spectrometry and NMR Spectroscopy‐Based Structural Characterization of Polysaccharide From Gastrodia elata Blume

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 4, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Structural characterization of complex carbohydrates remains challenging. This study employed methylation, acid hydrolysis, 1‐phenyl‐3‐methyl‐5‐pyrazolone (PMP) derivatization, and ultra‐high performance liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC–MS/MS) to determine monosaccharides, glycosidic linkages, and sequence of ...

Phellinus igniarius Polysaccharides Ameliorate Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Through Suppressing SREBP1

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 4, July 2026.
Glucuronic acid (GlcA), a key bioactive component of Phellinus igniarius polysaccharides (PIPs), downregulates the expression of the transcription factor SREBP1, thereby suppressing the transcription of its downstream lipogenic enzymes FASN and SCD1. This action leads to reduced lipid accumulation and alleviation of NAFLD.

Unraveling the Bioactive Compounds and Multi‐Target Mechanisms of the Fructus Aurantii Immaturus‐Bambusae Caulis in Taeniam Herb Pair Against Chronic Gastritis: Integrating Identification of Absorbed Constituents, Targeted Network Pharmacology, and Computational Validation

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
This work systematically explored the anti‐chronic gastritis mechanism of the FAI‐BCT herb pair. UPLC‐Q‐TOF‐MS/MS was applied to identify absorbed prototypes and metabolites of FAI‐BCT in rat plasma. Combining database mining, network pharmacology, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics simulation, we screened the key bioactive components and core ...
