Motor broken-bar fault diagnosis based on Park vector and wavelet neural network

open access: yes, 2011
In the technology of motor fault diagnosis, current monitoring methods have become a new trend in motor fault diagnosis. This paper presents a motor fault diagnosis method based on Park vector and wavelet neural network.

Analysis of Time-Dependent Brain Network on Active and MI Tasks for Chronic Stroke Patients.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
Several researchers have analyzed brain activities by investigating brain networks. However, there is a lack of the research on the temporal characteristics of the brain network during a stroke by EEG and the comparative studies between motor execution ...

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

An Efficient Deep Transfer Learning Network for Characterization of Stroke Patients’ Motor Execution from Multi-Channel EEG-Recordings [PDF]

open access: yes
Recent advances in stroke rehabilitation technology have been focused on developing Intelligent Rehabilitation Robots (IRR) that can effectively engage post-stroke patients (PSP) in intuitive motor training for full function recovery.

Decoding the dynamic extracellular matrix in cancer—3D models and bioscaffolds rewire the rules of tumor progression

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cancer progression is regulated by the dynamic matrix code of the tumor microenvironment, which influences cellular behavior and disease development. Importantly, matrix remodeling in three‐dimensional cancer models more accurately reflects in vivo conditions compared to conventional two‐dimensional systems.

Network connectivity of motor control in the ageing brain

open access: yesNeuroImage: Clinical, 2018
Older individuals typically display stronger regional brain activity than younger subjects during motor performance. However, knowledge regarding age-related changes of motor network interactions between brain regions remains scarce. We here investigated the impact of ageing on the interaction of cortical areas during movement selection and initiation ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Motor learning and neuroplasticity in humans [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The central nervous system is plastic, in that the number and strength of synaptic connections changes over time. In the adult the most important driver of such changes is experience, in the form of learning and memory. There are thought to be a number

Network analysis detects changes in the contralesional hemisphere following stroke

open access: yes, 2011
Changes in brain structure occur in remote regions following focal damage such as stroke. Such changes could disrupt processing of information across widely distributed brain networks.
