Research on Matrix Hardness of Coated Mould and its Performance Effect

open access: yesApplied Mechanics and Materials, 2011
After researching the mould coating and the effect of different matrix hardness on the service life, it can be concluded that under the condition, the matrix materials match with its obdurability well, the higher the matrix hardness, the longer the service life after the mould’s being coated.

Effect of Mould Runner and Coating on Graphite Nodule Characteristics and Hardness of Thin Wall Ductile Iron [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Research, 2011
Due to its attractive characteristics, thin wall ductile iron (TWDI), has been increasingly considered as a preference for reducing material consumption in order to save energy and contribute less environment pollutions as well as decreasing costs. In this research, the effect of two mould runner gating systems and mould coating on graphite nodule ...

Comparison on the Compositions, Microstructure and Hardness of Super Large Section Prehardened Steels for Plastic Mould Block

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
Compositions and hardness of four prehardened steels for plastic mould blocks with more than 1 m thick, named QTPA, QTPB, QTPC and QTPD were tested, and microstructures at center and surface of blocks were observed. The results show that hardness uniformity of the QTPC steel block is less than ± 4 HRC, its center appears pearlite, while microstructures

GA-fuzzy based estimation of equivalent hardness of particle reinforced flexible mould material composites

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, 2014
In the present work, an extensive experimental study on the equivalent hardness of various particle reinforced flexible mould materials is carried out. From the experimental study, it has been observed that the equivalent hardness of a composite mould material depend on many factors, such as filler content, morphology and type of filler particles, etc.

Mould contamination in production of semi-hard cheese

International Journal of Food Microbiology, 2004
Air, equipment, plastic film, brine and milk were sampled from four cheese factories in Norway during the period September 1997 to May 1999 in order to identify the critical points for mould contamination in the production process. Altogether, 672 samples were collected.
