VARMA versus VAR for Macroeconomic Forecasting [PDF]
In this paper, we argue that there is no compelling reason for restricting the class of multivariate models considered for macroeconomic forecasting to VARs given the recent advances in VARMA modelling methodology and improvements in computing power.

A novel FIRINOX‐loaded implant demonstrates controlled drug release, and potent therapeutic efficacy in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma mouse models with safety confirmed in a large‐animal pre‐clinical model. This innovative drug delivery platform offers a promising new treatment approach for non‐resectable, treatment‐resistant pancreatic cancer ...

Simultaneous output feedback robust model predictive control and state estimation for DC microgrids
DC microgrids (DC MGs) are recently more visible in power networks. One related issue is the existence of Constant Power Loads (CPLs), which degrade the performance of a DC MG due to their negative impedances.

Electric‐Current‐Assisted Nucleation of Zero‐Field Hopfion Rings
This work reports a novel and efficient nucleation protocol for 3D localized topological magnetic solitons‐hopfion rings in chiral magnets using pulsed electric currents. By using Lorentz transmission electron microscopy and topological analysis, we report characteristic features and extraordinary stability of hopfion rings in zero or inverted external

Ultra-wideband (UWB) has gained increasing interest for providing real-time positioning to robots in GPS-denied environments. For a robot to act on this information, it also requires its heading. This is, however, not provided by UWB.

Self‐Regulating Sodium‐Ion Battery Materials: From Phase Reconstruction to Functional Activation
Self‐regulating sodium‐ion batteries hinge on programmable phase behavior in layered oxides, interphases that renew without growth, and electrolytes that steer solvation and chemistry. This review distills mechanisms into design rules that span composition, site and entropy tuning, and self‐buffering anodes, linking operando evidence to choices and ...

Berthing Trajectory Tracking of Underactuated Surface Vehicle Based on NMPC and Position Estimation
In order to realize waypoint-based automatic berthing alongside or astern, a generation algorithm of dynamic virtual ships is proposed to guide the underactuated surface vehicle (USV). In this paper, a nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) problem is

Sample-based Moving Horizon Estimation
In this paper, we propose a sample-based moving horizon estimation (MHE) scheme for general nonlinear systems to estimate the current system state using irregularly and/or infrequently available measurements. The cost function of the MHE optimization problem is suitably designed to accommodate these irregular output sequences.

This study reports the first implantable resin cement capable of orientation‐sensitive Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI). By coating the cement with an ultrathin iron film, the authors achieve a strong, angle‐dependent MPI signal that enables non‐ionizing, real‐time tracking of both implant position and orientation, opening new possibilities for safe ...
