Evaluation of multispectral optoacoustic tomography (MSOT) performance in phantoms and in vivo
SPIE Proceedings, 2015MultiSpectral optoacoustic tomography (MSOT) is an emerging modality that combines the high contrast of optical imaging with the spatial resolution and penetration depth of ultrasound, to provide detailed images of hemoglobin concentration and oxygenation.

Abstract Apoptosis is an important mechanism in cellular homeostasis and imbalances in the apoptotic process are associated with various disease states. An important example is the acquired ability of cancer cells to resist their own programmed cell death and therefore it is the aim of many tumor therapies to either reestablish pro ...

Abstract 4269: Dynamic contrast-enhanced MSOT imaging to intratumoral pharmacokinetic modeling
Cancer Research, 2018Abstract Introduction: Interactions between biological features and nanoparticles could affect tracer biodistribution, kinetics, clearance, and translocation. Because these effects cannot be simply extrapolated from in vitro studies, in vivo quantitative data are needed to determine the pharmacokinetic properties of tracers.

Sensitivity limits of biomarker imaging by multi-spectral optoacoustic tomography (MSOT).
2009We investigate detection capacity and physical limits of molecular imaging with optoacoustics by simulating signals originating from absorbing objects in biological media. The results are experimentally validated by visualizing a common near-infrared fluorescent molecular agent.
