Superpartner mass measurements with 1D decomposed MT2
We propose a new model-independent technique for mass measurements in missing energy events at hadron colliders. We illustrate our method with the most challenging case of a short, single-step decay chain. We consider inclusive same-sign chargino pair production in supersymmetry, followed by leptonic decays to sneutrinos.

Background Hepcidin is the key regulator of systemic iron homeostasis and is downregulated by matriptase 2 (MT2), a protease encoded by TMPRSS6 gene. In the presence of low iron levels, MT2 cleaves membrane-bound hemojuvelin (HJV), causing a negative ...

Using Subsystem MT2 for Complete Mass Determinations in Decay Chains with Missing Energy at Hadron Colliders [PDF]
We propose to use the MT2 concept to measure the masses of all particles in SUSY-like events with two unobservable, identical particles. To this end we generalize the usual notion of MT2 and define a new MT2(n,p,c) variable, which can be applied to ...

Differential Function of Melatonin MT1 and MT2 Receptors in REM and NREM Sleep
The pathophysiological function of the G-protein coupled melatonin MT1 and MT2 receptors has not yet been well-clarified. Recent advancements using selective MT1/ MT2 receptor ligands and MT1/MT2 receptor knockout mice have suggested that the activation ...

MT2‐MMP Expression During Early Avian Morphogenesis [PDF]
AbstractMembrane‐type 2 matrix metalloproteinase (MT2‐MMP; also called MMP15) is a membrane‐bound protease that degrades extracellular matrix and activates proMMPs such as proMMP‐2. MMP‐2 expression in avian embryos is well documented, but it is not clear how proMMP‐2 is activated during avian embryogenesis.

Dark Matter Particle Spectroscopy at the LHC: Generalizing MT2 to Asymmetric Event Topologies [PDF]
We consider SUSY-like missing energy events at hadron colliders and critically examine the common assumption that the missing energy is the result of two identical missing particles.

Melatonin Signaling Controls the Daily Rhythm in Blood Glucose Levels Independent of Peripheral Clocks. [PDF]
Melatonin is rhythmically secreted by both the pineal gland and retina in a circadian fashion, with its peak synthesis occurring during the night. Once synthesized, melatonin exerts its effects by binding to two specific G-protein coupled receptors ...

Modeling the Heterodimer Interfaces of Melatonin Receptors
Melatonin receptors are Class A G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) that regulate a plethora of physiological activities in response to the rhythmic secretion of melatonin from the pineal gland.
