Assessment of the effect of therapy in a rat model of glioblastoma using [18F]FDG and [18F]FCho PET compared to contrast-enhanced MRI.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2021
ObjectiveWe investigated the potential of [18F]fluorodeoxyglucose ([18F]FDG) and [18F]Fluoromethylcholine ([18F]FCho) PET, compared to contrast-enhanced MRI, for the early detection of treatment response in F98 glioblastoma (GB) rats.MethodsWhen GB was ...

Prognostic value of metabolic tumor volume and total lesion glycolysis on preoperative 18F-FDG PET/CT in patients with localized primary gastrointestinal stromal tumors

open access: yesCancer & Metabolism, 2021
Background This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of pretreatment 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) in patients with localized primary gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) and to ...

COVID‐19–Induced Narcolepsy Type I With Cataplexy: A Short Report

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Narcolepsy type I is a rare neurological sleep disorder characterised by chronic excessive daytime sleepiness, cataplexy, and low orexin (hypocretin) levels. Infection with SARS‐CoV‐2 has been linked to neurological and neuropsychiatric sequelae, but cases of post‐COVID narcolepsy remain extremely uncommon.

Impact Assessment as Agenda‐Setting: Procedural Politicking and the Mobilization of Bias in the European Union's Audiovisual Media Services Directive

open access: yesRegulation &Governance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Though often framed as a technocratic tool, impact assessment is a core element of the political agenda‐setting process. In this article, we show that decisions about what is subject to legislative debate are made during impact assessment; specifically, during the drafting of the assessment report.

Recombinant LPG3 Protein From Leishmania chagasi as an Antigen for the Diagnosis of Canine Visceral Leishmaniasis

open access: yesTropical Medicine &International Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) is a human neglected tropical disease in which dogs participate as reservoirs of the etiological agent Leishmania chagasi. The identification of infected dogs is important to the control of VL, and recombinant proteins are strong antigen candidates for canine visceral leishmaniasis (CVL) serodiagnosis. In this work,

Tracer Test as a Tool for Optimizing the Flow Patterns and Efficiency of a Full‐Scale Drainage Water Treatment Wetland

open access: yesWater and Environment Journal, EarlyView.
Tracer testing assessed hydraulics and nitrate removal in three full‐scale agricultural drainage treatment wetlands over 3.5 years (three tests). The first test showed rapid, short‐circuited flow and low residence time. After modifying the collection system, the second test increased residence time from 1 to 7 days.

Metabolic tumor volume and the survival of patients with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma treated with chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy: a meta-analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
BackgroundChimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T) is a promising treatment for aggressive Non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). The aim of the meta-analysis was to determine the association between metabolic tumor volumes (MTV) derived on positron emission ...

SELFIE: Self‐Supervised Learning for Fast Dynamic Golden‐Angle Radial MRI

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 7, July 2026.
SELFIE enables reference‐free reconstruction for dynamic golden‐angle radial MRI. The self‐supervised training is enabled by leveraging the flexible temporal resolution of golden‐angle sampling to create self‐references and temporal sparsity. Evaluated on accelerated DCE‐MRI in patients with gynecological cancer and motion‐resolved free‐breathing ...
