The SEWASIE Multi-agent System

2005
Data integration, in the context of the web, faces new problems, due in particular to the heterogeneity of sources, to the fragmentation of the information and to the absence of a unique way to structure, and view information. In such areas, the traditional paradigms on which database foundations are based (i.e.

Stability of multi-agent systems

SMC'03 Conference Proceedings. 2003 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics. Conference Theme - System Security and Assurance (Cat. No.03CH37483), 2004
This work attempts to shed light on the fundamental concepts behind the stability of multi-agent systems. We view the system as a discrete time Markov chain with a potentially unknown transitional probability distribution. The system will be considered to be stable when its state has converged to an equilibrium distribution.

Evolutionary Multi-agent Systems

2004
In Multi-Agent learning, agents must learn to select actions that maximize their utility given the action choices of the other agents. Cooperative Coevolution offers a way to evolve multiple elements that together form a whole, by using a separate population for each element.

Modeling multi-agent systems

Communications of the ACM, 2007
Emerging from a paradigm different from objects, the modeling of agents requires its own conceptual frameworks, modeling languages, and methodologies.

Debugging multi-agent systems

Information and Software Technology, 1995
Abstract Development of multi-agent systems is a complex process during which use of adequate development tools is essential. This paper focuses on debugging of multi-agent systems. A survey of existing multi-agent systems development tools is presented first.

Voting in Multi-Agent Systems*

The Computer Journal, 2006
Voting is an essential element of mechanism design for multi-agent systems, and by extension applications built on such systems, which includes ad hoc networks, virtual organizations, and decision support tools implementing online deliberative assemblies.

Universality in Multi-Agent Systems

International Joint Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems, 2004
Much research in MAS explores how refinements to one agent?s reasoning can improve system performance. Sometimes, aspects of a system?s behavior are independent of individual agents? algorithms. Inspired by statistical physics, we term this phenomenon "universality": systems whose elements differ widely may have common emergent features.

Multi-Agent Control System

Proceedings of the 9th International Conference on Software Engineering and Applications, 2014
The paper deals with distributed planning in a Multi-Agent System (MAS) constituted by several intelligent agents each one has to interact with the other autonomous agents. The problem faced is how to ensure a distributed planning through the cooperation in our multi-agent system.

Minimal multi-agent systems

Proceedings International Conference on Multi Agent Systems (Cat. No.98EX160), 2002
We have developed the concept of Minimal Multi-Agent Systems (MMAS) to study the organisational dynamics of multi agent systems (MAS) at an abstract level. We have kept the model deliberately minimal to allow for the quantitative and unambiguous analysis of such systems.
