Genome-wide identifications of regulatory variants influencing milk fat percentage in Chinese Holstein cow

open access: yesBMC Genomics
Background Milk fat is a critical economic trait in Holstein cattle; however, the identification of genomic loci associated with milk fat content remains limited, constraining progress in genetic improvement and overall dairy production efficiency.

Targeted Restoration of the Microbial Tryptophan Oxidative Pathway Ameliorates Autism‐Like Behavioral and Synaptic Deficits

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is associated with gut microbiota dysbiosis, yet the contribution of specific microbial metabolic pathways remains unclear. Reanalysis of a public ASD cohort revealed reduced functional potential in microbial tryptophan oxidative metabolism.

Chiral Nanoparticles Suppress Inflammatory Infiltration to Promote Extracellular Matrix Remodeling for Ectopia Lentis Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
L‐cysteine‐configured chiral polyurethane nanoparticles suppress ocular inflammation and reduce extracellular matrix (ECM) degradation in ectopia lentis by regulating macrophages polarization and inhibiting nuclear factor kappa B signaling pathway. By promoting zonular fiber‐associated protein restoration and tissue repair, this minimally invasive ...

GHRHR Deficiency Enhances Retinal Ganglion Cell Survival and Visual Functions in Experimental Glaucoma by Inhibiting Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glaucoma, a major cause of blindness, involves retinal ganglion cell (RGC) degeneration. This study shows growth hormone‐releasing hormone receptor (GHRHR) deficiency preserves RGC survival and restores vision, unlike activation which only aids survival.

Comparative integrated omics approach sterically understanding hepatic metabolic dynamics in mouse model: DOI: 10.5584/jiomics.v7i1.200

open access: yes, 2016
Currently, the general approach of analysis is using a single omics technique, however the combined analysis of data by employing multiple omics analyses can enable a more fundamental understanding of the biological phenomena.

Integrative Multi‐Omics Analysis Reveals a Mitochondrial–Immune Axis Associated With Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy Response in High‐Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrative multi‐omics analysis delineates a mitochondrial–immune axis governing neoadjuvant chemotherapy response in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer. Immune‐active tumors exhibit enhanced B‐cell infiltration and favorable sensitivity, whereas metabolically rewired tumors display oxidative phosphorylation dependency and resistance.

Dietary Supplement with Milk that Contains Different β-Caseins Influences Gut Microbiota and Serum Metabolites in Mice

open access: yesFood Science of Animal Resources
The composition and metabolites of gut microbiota are shaped by dietary protein, consequently affecting host physiology, health, and diseases. This study aimed to elucidate the role of β-caseins in remodeling the composition of colon microbiota and the ...

Chronic Sleep Deprivation Causes Anxiety, Depression and Impaired Gut Barrier in Female Mice—Correlation Analysis from Fecal Microbiome and Metabolome

open access: yesBiomedicines
Background: Chronic sleep deprivation (CSD) plays an important role in mood disorders. However, the changes in the gut microbiota and metabolites associated with CSD-induced anxiety/depression-like behavior in female mice have not been determined. Due to

Transforming Brain Organoids Into Functional Platforms: Convergence of Engineering, Imaging, AI, and Ethics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Brain organoids are emerging as increasingly functional human‐relevant platforms, yet limitations in vascularization, maturation, measurement, and reproducibility still constrain their translational value. This Perspective examines how microfluidics, biofabrication, advanced imaging, electrophysiology, multimodal AI, standardization, and ethical ...
