Offline Learning for Acknowledgment Optimization in Massive LoRaWAN Networks

open access: yesInternet Technology Letters, Volume 8, Issue 6, November/December 2025.
ABSTRACT LoRaWAN faces critical limitations in large‐scale deployments due to spectrum contention, duty‐cycle restrictions, and energy constraints. These challenges impact the reliability and responsiveness of bidirectional communication particularly when conventional acknowledgment mechanisms are used.

Analysis of the queue lengths in a priority retrial queue with constant retrial policy

open access: yes, 2020
In this paper, we analyze a priority queueing system with a regular queue and an orbit. Customers in the regular queue have priority over the customers in the orbit.

Modelling a Reliable Multimedia Transmission Approach for Medical Wireless Sensor Networks

open access: yesIET Cyber-Physical Systems: Theory &Applications, Volume 10, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
The process of secret key sharing utilises the sender's public secret key and the receiver's private secret key to generate a shared secret key between the two devices. This same secret key generation method applies to communication between a sensor and a base station, whether in single‐hop or multi‐hop scenarios. Once the secret key is generated, data

Adaptive Routing Strategies for Optimisation in MANETs Through Integration of Expanding Ring Search and Random Early Detection Using Machine Learning

open access: yesIET Networks, Volume 14, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) rely heavily on routing protocols (RPs) to ensure optimal network performance and quality of service (QoS). This study integrates an adaptive expanding ring search (AERS) mechanism with machine learning classifiers (AdaBoost, KNN, and DT) to optimise routing and control congestion. Validation through network simulator 3 (

Adaptive power management for multiaccess edge computing‐based 6G‐inspired massive Internet of Things

open access: yesIET Wireless Sensor Systems, Volume 15, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
The paper proposes a containerised edge computing model for power optimisation in 6G‐inspired massive Internet‐of‐Things applications. The problem is formulated as a central processing unit energy consumption cost function based on quasi‐finite system observations. Results show that the model performs better compared to a competitive baseline algorithm.

Analysis of a multi-server retrial queue with a varying finite number of sources

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
<p>A multi-server retrial queue with a finite number of sources of requests was considered. In contrast to similar models studied in the literature, we assumed this number is not constant but changes its value in a finite range. During the stay in the system, each source generates the service requests.

Improving the Efficiency of a Message Validation System in a Vehicular Ad Hoc Network

open access: yesJournal of Computer Networks and Communications, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Advancements in communication technologies have enabled vehicles to be equipped with computing devices, facilitating communication and autonomous operations. This has led to the emergence of a new networking paradigm known as the vehicular ad hoc Network (VANET).
