Producing Iron Endohedral Fullerene on Electron Cyclotron Resonance Ion Source

open access: yesCrystals, 2021
An electron cyclotron resonance (ECR) ion source (ECRIS) can generate an available amount of multicharged ions, thus it is not limited for use in the field of accelerator science, but also in medical/biological fields, such as for heavy ion beam cancer ...

The Role of Stepwise Photoionization in Measurements of the Ionization Potentials in Dense Plasma

open access: yesPhotonics, 2023
The interaction of high-contrast high-intensity laser radiation with solids allows us to create hot or warm plasma of solid or even over-solid density, such as in the case of inertial fusion particularly.

The multicharged ion plasma under external laser pulse: calculation of its key parameters

open access: yesSt. Petersburg Polytechnical University Journal: Physics and Mathematics, 2022
The paper presents a numerical study of laser radiation interaction with cylindrical plasma medium. The model has been described in detail. Non-equilibrium sodium ions were chosen as the active medium and a CO2-laser as an external irradiator.

Precise wavelength measurements of potassium He- and Li-like satellites emitted from the laser plasma of a mineral target

open access: yesMatter and Radiation at Extremes, 2021
Atomic models of high-Z multicharged ions are extremely complex and require experimental validation. One way to do so is to crosscheck the predicted wavelengths of resonance transitions in He- and Li-like ions against precise ...

SPECTRAL STUDIES OF THE PROCESSES OF ALUMINUM NANOPOWDER FORMATION EXPOSED BY SHORT SERIES OF TWIN LASER PULSES IN THE AIR ATMOSPHERE

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов, 2020
The processes of formation of oxidized nanopowders depending on the number of pulses were studied when double laser pulses with an energy of 52 mJ and an interpulse interval of 10 microseconds were applied to an aluminum target placed in a closed ...

Charge breeding time investigations of electron cyclotron resonance charge breeders

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams, 2018
To qualify electron cyclotron resonance charge breeders, the method that is traditionally used to evaluate the charge breeding time consists in generating a rising edge of the injected beam current and measuring the time in which the extracted ...

Wavelengths of the Self-Photopumped Nickel-Like 4f 1P1→4d 1P1 X-ray Laser Transitions

open access: yesAtoms, 2017
The energies for the lower 3d3/24d3/2 [J = 1] and upper 3d3/24f5/2 [J = 1] working levels in the self-photopumped X-ray laser are analyzed along the Ni-like sequence. We have found some irregularities in these energy levels in the range Z = 42–49.
