The Effect of Pore Functionality in Multicomponent Covalent Organic Frameworks on Stable Long‐Term Photocatalytic H2 Production

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Five COFs are synthesized through a multicomponent reaction, preserving a similar backbone while introducing varying pore functionalities. All COFs demonstrate excellent chemical stability and sustained H2 production under sunlight for 7‐15 days. The imidazole‐functionalized COF exhibits the highest H2 production, which can be attributed to its high ...

Unique Na5−xSbSe Phase Enables High‐Rate Performance of Sb2Se3 Anodes in Na‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The (de)sodiation mechanism of Sb2Se3 is revealed through advanced operando techniques and ab initio simulations and underscores the value of complementary methods in exploring battery mechanisms. A new Na5−xSbSe phase is identified as the final sodiation product of Sb2Se3 anodes in Na‐ion batteries (NIBs), which enables the remarkably high‐rate ...

Tuning Cation (Dis)Order in Cr‐Based Li‐Excess Oxide Cathode Materials to Improve Li+ Transport Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Partially disordered Cr‐based Li‐rich oxides are developed, featuring ordered, layered‐like environments integrated through a common oxygen sublattice with cation‐mixed regions. This activates new Li+ diffusion channels, enabling these cathodes to be used in their as‐synthesized form with micron‐sized particles.
