LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Enhanced Strapdown Inertial Navigation System (SINS)/LiDAR Tightly Integrated Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) for Urban Structural Feature Weaken Occasions in Vehicular Platform

open access: yesRemote Sensing
LiDAR-based simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) offer robustness against illumination changes, but the inherent sparsity of LiDAR point clouds poses challenges for continuous tracking and navigation, especially in feature-deprived scenarios ...

Two-dimensional non-commutative Yang-Mills theory: coherent effects in open Wilson line correlators

open access: yes, 2003
A perturbative calculation of the correlator of three parallel open Wilson lines is performed for the U(N) theory in two non-commutative space-time dimensions.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Detection and Imaging of Corrosion Defects in Steel Structures Based on Ultrasonic Digital Image Processing

open access: yesMetals
Corrosion is one of the critical factors leading to the failure of steel structures. Ultrasonic C-scans are widely used to identify corrosion damage.

Effect of Multiple Higgs Fields on the Phase Structure of the SU(2)-Higgs Model

open access: yes, 2009
The SU(2)-Higgs model, with a single Higgs field in the fundamental representation and a quartic self-interaction, has a Higgs region and a confinement region which are analytically connected in the parameter space of the theory; these regions thus ...

Integrals and Phase Portraits of Planar Quadratic Differential Systems With Invariant Lines of at Least Five Total Multiplicity

open access: yesRocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics, 2008
The authors consider the collection of all systems of differential equations of the form \[ \dot x = p(x,y),\quad \dot y = q(x,y), \] subject to the following conditions: (1) \(p\) and \(q\) are polynomials with real coefficients such that \(\max\{\deg p, \deg q\} = 2\), (2) the phase portrait of the system contains invariant lines with total ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Chiral Dynamics of scalar mesons: radiative $\phi$ decay and $\sigma$ in the medium through $\pi^0 \pi^0$ nuclear photoproduction

open access: yes, 2003
In order to assess the relevance of chiral dynamics in the scalar sector we address two recent problems: radiative decay of the $\phi$, for which there are quite recent data from Frascati, and the modification of the $\sigma$ properties in the nuclear ...

Phenotypic and genotypic characterization of single circulating tumor cells in the follow‐up of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.
