THE SYNERGISTIC AND MULTIPLICATIVE EFFECTS OF PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS IN THE LIVELIHOODS OF CITIZENS

open access: yesМодернизация, инновация, развитие, 2016
The article deals with the formation of the forms and methods of public-private partnerships in the major subsystems of life and livelihood of citizens of the Russian Federation on the basis of the organization of production and social infrastructure ...

Capturing the Zero: A New Class of Zero-Augmented Distributions and Multiplicative Error Processes [PDF]

open access: yes
We propose a novel approach to model serially dependent positive-valued variables which realize a non-trivial proportion of zero outcomes. This is a typical phenomenon in financial time series observed on high frequencies, such as cumulated trading ...

Deaf children's informal knowledge of multiplicative reasoning.

open access: yes, 2009
Multiplicative reasoning is required in different contexts in mathematics: it is necessary to understand the concept of multipart units, involved in learning place value and measurement, and also to solve multiplication and division problems. Measures of

Atomistic Mechanisms Triggered by Joule Heating Effects in Metallic Cu‐Bi Nanowires for Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bi doped metallic Cu nanowires are promising for spintronics thanks to the stabilization of a giant spin Hall effect. However, heat resulting from current injection forces Bi to leave solution, forcing segregation into monoatomic decorations which evolve into coherent crystalline aggregates.

Medical Image Denoising by Improved Kuan Filter

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2012
This paper focuses on the issue of speckle noise and its suppression. Firstly, the multiplicative speckle noise model and its mathematical formulation are introduced. Then, certain de-noising methods are described together with possible improvements.

Tough, Ductile, and Strong Hard‐Soft Cementitious Composite Enabled by Multi‐Material Additive Manufacturing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including

Multiscale hierarchical decomposition methods for images corrupted by multiplicative noise

open access: yes, 2023
Recovering images corrupted by multiplicative noise is a well known challenging task. Motivated by the success of multiscale hierarchical decomposition methods (MHDM) in image processing, we adapt a variety of both classical and new multiplicative noise ...

Room‐Temperature Skyrmionic Synapse in 2D Ferromagnet Fe3GaTe2 Operating via Collective Spin Texture Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

The multiplicative complexity of quadratic boolean forms

open access: yes, 1992
Let the multiplicative complexity L(f) of a boolean function f be the minimal number of ∧-gates that are sufficient to evaluate f by circuits over the basis ∧, ⊕, 1.
