Stability analysis of different cotton genotypes under normal and water-deficit conditions

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Agriculture, 2019
Cotton plant observes significant reduction in seed cotton yield when subjected to water stress. To find out genotypes having better drought tolerance, seven genotypes of Gossypium hirsutum L. were tested under two moisture levels, i.e., normal and water

Multiplicative bases and an Erdős problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper we investigate how small the density of a multiplicative basis of order h can be in {1,2,...,n} and in Z^+. Furthermore, a related problem of Erdős is also studied: How dense can a set of integers be, if none of them divides the product of

Oxidized MoS2‐Based Multifunctional Memristive Hardware for Energy‐Efficient mmWave Signal Processing and In‐Memory Matrix Multiplication

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Thermally oxidized MoS2‐based radio‐frequency switches enable a multifunctional platform that unifies broadband RF switching and in‐memory computation. The device achieves a cutoff frequency of 33.2 THz with high energy efficiency and supports hardware‐aware signal processing.

Thermally Pre‐Formed Reconfigurable Resistive Random‐Access Memory Crossbar Arrays: A Dual‐Mode Platform for Robust Physically Unclonable Functions and In‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A reconfigurable RRAM platform utilizing thermally pre‐formed filaments (TPFs) is developed to realize robust hardware security. By exploiting the thermodynamic stochasticity of TPFs, exceptionally reliable physically unclonable functions (PUFs) are achieved.

Alternative Basis matrix multiplication is fast and stable†

open access: yesNumerische Mathematik
Abstract Alternative basis matrix multiplication algorithms are the fastest matrix multiplication algorithms in practice to date. However, are they numerically stable? We obtain the first numerical error bound for alternative basis matrix multiplication algorithms.

Pragmatic Universalism – A Basis of Coexistence of Multiple Diversities

open access: yesNordicum-Mediterraneum, 2015
The authors examine the paradigms hitherto employed to understand and regulate relations between minorities and majority: universalism, multiculturalism/differentialism and interculturalism. These theories are referring to an idea of original purity rooted in a classificatory logic that ultimately inhibits positive coexistence.

A Versatile Microfluidic Extrusion‐Based Hydrogel Platform for Self‐Organization and Long‐Term Maintenance of Engineered 3D Lymphatic Endothelium

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Microfluidic coaxial extrusion generates size‐controlled 3D lymphatic tubes from primary human dermal lymphatic endothelial cells in a defined four‐component matrix. These engineered vessels self‐organize into stable lymphatic endothelium, maintain selective macromolecular permeability for 30 days, and enable direct comparison with blood endothelial ...

Impact of exposure measurement error in air pollution epidemiology: effect of error type in time-series studies

open access: yesEnvironmental Health, 2011
Background Two distinctly different types of measurement error are Berkson and classical. Impacts of measurement error in epidemiologic studies of ambient air pollution are expected to depend on error type.

Plasmonic Enhancement of Fluorescence and Protein Dynamics in Living Mammalian Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates plasmonic enhancement of the function of fluorescent voltage sensing proteins (genetically encoded voltage indicators, (GEVIs), QuasAr6) in live mammalian cells. Coupling to plasmonic nanoparticles does not just increase fluorescence, but influences the protein photocycle, creating a hybrid sensor with its response speed to ...
