On the Multiplicative Complexity of Cubic Boolean Functions [PDF]
Multiplicative complexity is a relevant complexity measure for many advanced cryptographic protocols such as multi-party computation, fully homomorphic encryption, and zero-knowledge proofs, where processing AND gates is more expensive than processing ...

ABSTRACT Introduction/Objective Acute intracranial stenting during endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for ischemic stroke requires intraprocedural antiplatelet therapy (APT) to maintain patency. However, the hemorrhagic risk of combining APT with intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) remains uncertain.

Effects of solar irradiance noise on a complex marine trophic web
The analysis of experimental data of the solar irradiance, collected on the marine surface, clearly highlights the intrinsic stochasticity of such an environmental parameter. Given this result, effects of randomly fluctuating irradiance on the population

This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

Multiplicative bases in matrix algebras
In a finite-dimensional algebra over a field F, a basis B is called a multiplicative basis provided that B∪{0} forms a semigroup. We will describe all multiplicative bases of Fn, the full algebra of n×n matrices over a subfield F of the real numbers ...

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

The Molecular Basis for Remyelination Failure in Multiple Sclerosis [PDF]
Myelin sheaths in the central nervous system (CNS) insulate axons and thereby allow saltatory nerve conduction, which is a prerequisite for complex brain function. Multiple sclerosis (MS), the most common inflammatory autoimmune disease of the CNS, leads to the destruction of myelin sheaths and the myelin-producing oligodendrocytes, thus leaving behind

Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Fuglede`s conjecture fails in dimension 4
In this note we modify a recent example of Tao and give an example of a set Omega subset of R-4 such that L-2(Omega) admits an orthonormal basis of exponentials {1/vertical bar Omega vertical bar 1/2 e(2 pi i )}(xi epsilon Lambda) for some set Lambda ...
