A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

Tangent complexes and the Diamond Lemma
The celebrated Diamond Lemma of Bergman gives an effectively verifiable criterion of uniqueness of normal forms for term rewriting in associative algebras. We revisit that result in the context of deformation theory and homotopical algebra; this leads to

A genetic basis for familial aggregation in multiple sclerosis
Genetic-environmental interactions probably underlie spontaneous human autoimmune disorders, a category of complex traits thought to include multiple sclerosis (MS). The geographical distribution and familial aggregation of this disease have often been ascribed to the role of infectious agents, but there is no consensus.

The multiplicative Hilbert matrix [PDF]
It is observed that the infinite matrix with entries (√mnlog(mn))−1 for m,n≥2 appears as the matrix of the integral operator Hf(s):=∫1/2 +∞f(w)(ζ(w+s)−1)dw with respect to the basis (n−s)n≥2; here ζ(s) is the Riemann zeta function and H is defined on ...

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Optimization of the Production of Rubber Compounds Using Mathematical Models
Rubber compounds were mixed in a batch internal mixer, and symbolic regression was used to derive mathematical models linking recipe and process parameters to ram path, torque, and mixing quality (incorporation, dispersion, distribution). Subsequent optimization with evolutionary algorithms identified operating conditions that reduce specific energy ...

The multiplicative unitary as a basis for duality
The classical duality theory associates to an abelian group a dual companion. Passing to a non-abelian group, a dual object can still be defined, but it is no longer a group. The search for a broader category which should include both the groups and their duals, points towards the concept of quantization.

Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Solution‐Processed Thin‐Film Transistors With Tunable Temporal Dynamics for Neuromorphic Computing
Solution‐processed CNT and CNT/P3HT ion‐gated transistors exhibit materials‐defined synaptic timescales: fast CNT devices for high‐frequency spiking and slow hybrid devices for temporal integration. Embedding these dynamics into coupled reservoir‐computing and spiking neural network simulations reveals that a Hybrid‐Reservoir / CNT‐SNN architecture ...
