Let ϱ(r, s) be a symmetric and positive definite kernel 0 ⩽ τ < 1, 0 ⩽ s ⩽ 1, satisfying a Hölder condition in τ uniformly in s. Let V(x) be an even polynomial of degree N, V(x) = ∑n = 0N Anxn, where An ⩾ 0 for all n. We consider functionals u on C([0, 1]

ABSTRACT Background Collaterals are crucial factors that influence the infarct growth rate (IGR). We aimed to determine whether a comprehensive multimodal collateral score (MCS), incorporating collateral assessment at the arterial, tissue, and venous levels, is associated with functional independence and provides incremental prognostic value over ...

The First Isomorphism Theorem and Other Properties of Rings [PDF]
Different properties of rings and fields are discussed [12], [41] and [17]. We introduce ring homomorphisms, their kernels and images, and prove the First Isomorphism Theorem, namely that for a homomorphism f : R → S we have R/ker(f) ≅ Im(f).

Peripheral Neutrophil Activation and Extracellular Trap Formation in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Markers of neutrophil activation are increased in plasma during ALS, and markers of NET formation associate with ALS survival. ABSTRACT Objectives Peripheral neutrophil levels in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) inversely correlate with survival, suggesting a role for neutrophils in disease progression.

Inner Derivations and Weak-2-Local Derivations on the C*-Algebra C-0(L, A) [PDF]
[EN] Let L be a locally compact Hausdorff space. Suppose A is a -algebra with the property that every weak-2-local derivation on A is a (linear) derivation. We prove that every weak-2-local derivation on is a (linear) derivation.

ABSTRACT Introduction/Objective Acute intracranial stenting during endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) for ischemic stroke requires intraprocedural antiplatelet therapy (APT) to maintain patency. However, the hemorrhagic risk of combining APT with intravenous thrombolysis (IVT) remains uncertain.

Neighborhood Socioeconomic Status and Short‐Term Functional Outcomes in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Objective Individuals with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) can accumulate functional status (FS) impairment. We evaluated the association between neighborhood socioeconomic disadvantage, as measured by the Area Deprivation Index (ADI), and FS in a national SLE sample.

The reduction of multiple 𝐿-integrals of separated functions to iterated 𝐿-integrals [PDF]
In the second volume of his book, Lectures on the Theory of Functions of Real Variables,t Professor Pierpont defines an integral which he calls an L-integral, and develops a theory of integration which contains Lebesgue's theory as a special case. Up to a certain point, in Pierpont's theory, the field of integration does not need to be measurable, nor ...

This article proposes a convergent adaptive observer for a damped wave PDE and an infinite‐dimensional ODE coupled in cascade using sampled‐in‐space ODE state measurements. The proposed observer estimates the distributed states of the PDE and ODE along with unknown PDE parameters and spatial input.

Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing
