Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Mutual recognition of enantiomers.
Homochiral or heterochiral interaction of enantiomers is a fundamental principle in crystal lattice formation, giving either racemates or conglomerates, and multi-stage interactions. Such diastereomeric effects arising from labile molecular assembly are also significant in various solution-phase phenomena related to physical, spectroscopic, and ...

Sanctions, partner recognition, and variation in mutualism [PDF]
AbstractMutualistic interactions can be stabilized against invasion by non-cooperative individuals by putting such “cheaters” at a selective disadvantage. Selection against cheaters should eliminate genetic variation in partner quality — yet such variation is often found in natural populations.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

The principle of mutual recognition - A source of divergence ? [PDF]
Governments set numerous norms to protect consumers. Two countries may achieve the same level of protection of their consumers through different specifications. The adaptation costs induced by these differences create barriers to trade.
