Il principio del mutuo riconoscimento nell'ordinamento dell'Unione europea [PDF]
The essay analyses the principle of mutual recognition as a legal technique of coordination of the Member States’ legal systems. We examine its ability of ensuring effectiveness of the individual’s fundamental rights and of favouring the European ...

Mutual recognition of enantiomers.
Homochiral or heterochiral interaction of enantiomers is a fundamental principle in crystal lattice formation, giving either racemates or conglomerates, and multi-stage interactions. Such diastereomeric effects arising from labile molecular assembly are also significant in various solution-phase phenomena related to physical, spectroscopic, and ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

The effect of time on gait recognition performance [PDF]
Many studies have shown that it is possible to recognize people by the way they walk. However, there are a number of covariate factors that affect recognition performance.

Harmonization and mutual recognition: What are the effects on trade? [PDF]
This paper analyses the effect of harmonization and mutual recognition of standards on trade flows. Although harmonization and mutual recognition are commonly believed to reduce trade costs towards freer trade, their impact on trade is more complex, and ...

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

The principle of mutual recognition - A source of divergence ? [PDF]
Governments set numerous norms to protect consumers. Two countries may achieve the same level of protection of their consumers through different specifications. The adaptation costs induced by these differences create barriers to trade.

Direct gaze modulates face recognition in young infants
From birth, infants prefer to look at faces that engage them in direct eye contact. In adults, direct gaze is known to modulate the processing of faces, including the recognition of individuals.

THE EUROPEAN ARREST WARRANT. THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE EUROPEAN ARREST WARRANT IN THE UNITED KINGDOM. [PDF]
The European arrest warrant has replaced the extradition procedure between the Member States of the European Union. Thus, by the introduction of the European arrest warrant, the administrative-judicial procedure was replaced by a purely judicial ...
