Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein encephalomyelitis: An unusual cause of blindness
Background: Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein encephalomyelitis (MOG-EM) includes patients with (i) monophasic or relapsing acute optic neuritis, myelitis, brainstem encephalitis, or encephalitis; (ii) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or ...

Frequency and Characteristics of Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibody-Associated Disease Accompanied by Fever: A Single-Center Retrospective Study. [PDF]
Diagnostic pitfall in fever with CNS involvement: MOGAD. Fever accompanied by neurological symptoms was initially suspected as central nervous system infection. However, negative pathogen tests and failed anti‐infective therapy, followed by positive MOG‐IgG, led to a revised diagnosis of MOGAD. The patient responded favorably to corticosteroids or IVIG.

Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibodies in genetic leukodystrophies
Accumulation of intermediate metabolites due to enzyme deficiencies and demyelination can provoke inflammation in genetic leukodystrophies. Thirty patients with genetic leukodystrophy and 48 healthy control sera were tested for anti-myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibodies by fixed and/or live cell-based assays.

Significance of Myelin Oligodendrocyte Glycoprotein Antibodies in CSF
Background and Objectives Although the diagnosis of myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD) is based on serum MOG antibodies (MOG-Abs) positivity, patients with coexisting or restricted MOG-Abs in the CSF have been ...
