Interventional therapies for chronic heart failure: An overview of recent developments
Abstract Heart failure (HF), the final manifestation of most cardiovascular diseases, has become a major global health concern, affecting millions of individuals. Despite basic drug treatments, patients present with high morbidity and mortality rates. However, recent advancements in interventional therapy have shown promising results in improving the ...

Effect of trapidil in myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in rabbit
To evaluate the cardioprotective effects of trapidil on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI) in rabbits.Rabbits were subjected to 40 min of myocardial ischemia followed by 120 min of reperfusion. Blood for superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) were estimated.

Abstract Aims The extent of irreversible cardiomyocyte necrosis after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is a major determinant of residual left ventricular (LV) function and clinical outcome. Cell therapy based on CD34+ cells has emerged as an option to help repair the myocardium and to improve outcomes.

S100A4-shRNA mitigates autophagy, reduces inflammation, and improves cardiac functionality in MIRI
Background: S100A4 plays a crucial role in myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI), where the interplay between autophagy and inflammation shapes the progression of reperfusion injury.

Total Thiols and MDA Levels in Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction Before and After Reperfusion Therapy [PDF]
Background: Reactive oxygen species have been implicated in the pathogenesis of ischemic and reperfusion injury. In the current work we have measured malondialdehyde (MDA), total thiols, total CK, CK-MB and AST in ECG proven acute myocardial infarction ...

Effects of SGLTi on Individual Clinical Endpoints and Quality‐of‐Life: outcome from randomized data. Abstract Aims Sodium–glucose co‐transporter inhibitors (SGLTis) have cardiovascular protective effects. We aimed to assess the effects of SGLTis on individual hard clinical endpoints and quality of life (QoL) in patients with cardiovascular risk factors.

Dapagliflozin alleviates high‐fat‐induced obesity cardiomyopathy by inhibiting ferroptosis
Abstract Aim: Dapagliflozin (Dapa) is a novel hypoglycaemic agent with multiple cardiovascular protective effects, and it is widely used in treatment of heart failure patients, but whether it can improve obese phenotype of heart failure and its mechanism is still unclear.
