Abstract Recurrent tonsillitis (RT) and obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) are major indications for tonsillectomy, yet their tissue‐level pathology remains unclear. Recurrent inflammation in RT may induce collagen remodelling through excess extracellular matrix deposition.
