Triazole-containing N-acyl homoserine lactones targeting the quorum sensing system in Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, 2015
In an attempt to devise new antimicrobial treatments for biofilm infections, the bacterial cell-cell communication system termed quorum sensing has emerged as an attractive target. It has proven possible to intercept the communication system by synthetic non-native ligands and thereby lower the pathogenesis and antibiotic tolerance of a bacterial ...

Candidates of quorum sensing bacteria in activated sludge associated with N-acyl homoserine lactones

Chemosphere, 2019
This study aimed to explore candidates of microbial groups which is associated with quorum sensing in activated sludge. Activated sludge samples were collected from three wastewater treatment plants (WWTP) to analyze N-acyl homoserine lactone (AHL) by Fourier-transform mass spectrometry (FTMS) and 16S rRNA-based microbial community.

[Isolation and identification of Rhodosporidium toruloides R1 degrading N-acyl homoserine lactone].

Wei sheng wu xue bao = Acta microbiologica Sinica, 2009
In the present study, a AHL-utilizing strain RI was isolated and identified as the genus Rhodosporidium toruloides R1 by physi-biochemical approaches and 18S rDNA sequence analysis, and this strain was designated as R. toruloides R1. Results showed that R.
