Greenhouse gas emissions from soils under organic management [PDF]
This report was presented at the UK Organic Research 2002 Conference. Land emissions of N2O, CO2 and NH3 have been subject to little study under organic systems, yet form important aspects of sustainability of such systems.

Tracking Climate and Environmental Attention: A News‐Based Composite Index
ABSTRACT This study introduces the Climate and Environmental Attention Index, a composite indicator that tracks media attention to climate and environmental issues. Based on the Semantic Brand Score, the proposed index extracts significant signals from unstructured text, going beyond traditional measures of word frequency and sentiment.

Respiration and growth of Paracoccus denitrificans R-1 with nitrous oxide as an electron acceptor
In the nitrogen biogeochemical cycle, the reduction of nitrous oxide (N2O) to N2 by N2O reductase, which is encoded by nosZ gene, is the only biological pathway for N2O consumption.

Nitrous oxide content and fluxes in Setúbal Bay, Portugal, during upwelling events
To evaluate the influence of upwelling events on nitrous oxide (N2O) levels and sea-air exchange in Setúbal Bay (SW Portugal), measurements of dissolved N2O were carried out from the surface down to 200 m depth in May 2006 and May 2007.

N2O reduction by Vibrio succinogenes [PDF]
Vibrio succinogenes grew anaerobically at the expense of formate oxidation, with nitrous oxide (N2O) serving a terminal oxidant. N2O was quantitatively reduced to dinitrogen (N2). In the presence of 5 x 10(-2) atm (ca. 5 kPa) of acetylene (C2H2), which inhibits the reduction of N2O, growth of V. succinogenes was completely inhibited.

Sulfation of TiO2 with tubular architecture assembly nanosheets cooperated with Sm modification endowed the TiO2–SO42−/MnSm catalyst with excellent low‐temperature NH3‐SCR activity, high N2 selectivity, and well H2O‐resistance. It clarifies how the Sm modification and sulfation adjusts the distribution of acid sites and modulates the activation of NH3 ...

Nitrous oxide emissions from grazed grassland: effects of cattle management and soil conditions [PDF]
Traditionally, dairy cattle spend a substantial part of the year on pastures. For organic farming within EU it is specified that ”all mammals must have access to pasturage or an open-air exercise area” which they must be able to use whenever ”weather ...

This paper presents a breakthrough pre‐breakdown electrochemical method for synthesizing polyNiMeOSalen suspensions, achieving an 83% yield and nanoscale dispersion ($1500/kg) and environmental impact (1.42 kg CO2eq/kg). We report a novel pre‐breakdown electrochemical synthesis method for producing polyNiMeOSalen suspensions with exceptional ...

Voltammetric Determination of Dissolved Nitrous Oxide
The platinum disk electrode has been tested as a working electrode for the cathodic reduction of N2O in aqueous solutions using 0.2 M K2SO4 as supporting electrolyte, buffered at pH = 12, and a scan rate of 100 mV s-1.
