Multivesicular liposomes for sustained release of naltrexone hydrochloride: design, characterization and in vitro/in vivo evaluation

Pharmaceutical Development and Technology, 2012
Multivesicular liposomes containing naltrexone hydrochloride (DepoNTX) was prepared by using the traditional DepoFoam technology and the key formulation factors on encapsulation efficiency and particle size were investigated. A morphological characterization and in vitro/in vivo release assay was also carried out.

Chemical stability of naltrexone hydrochloride injection.

International journal of pharmaceutical compounding, 2015
The chemical stability of naltrexone hydrochloride injection was studied by using a stability-indicating high-performance liquid chromatographic assay method that was developed in our laboratory. The concentrations of the drug were related directly to peak heights, and the percent relative standard deviation based on five injections was 1.0.

Preparation of niosomes as an ocular delivery system for naltrexone hydrochloride: physicochemical characterization.

Die Pharmazie, 2011
Recent reports have demonstrated that topical and systemic application of naltrexone markedly improves the characteristic signs of diabetic keratopathy; most notably, impaired corneal sensation and delayed wound repair. The aim of this study was to prepare and characterise non-ionic surfactant vesicles (niosomes) for the ocular drug delivery of ...
