Delay-modeling of NAND gates

Proceedings of the 33rd Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002
A model for evaluating the propagation delay, rise and fall time of NAND gates is proposed. The model includes the shape of the input waveform, the capacitive load, and the transconductances of the NMOS and the PMOS transistors. The effect of the position of the first active input is included in the model.

Silicon photonic NAND gate

2017 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics Pacific Rim (CLEO-PR), 2017
We propose a novel scheme of digital micro-photonic logic function based on the electro-optic (EO) effect in photonic ring resonator. In this paper, the NAND logic function is demonstrated. The Logic operation is justified by optical spectrum as well as timing diagrams. A 10 Gbps NRZ PRBS signal is used to justify the logic function. Simulation results

Replication NAND gate with light as input and output

Chem. Commun., 2011
Logic operations can highlight information transfer within complex molecular networks. We describe here the design of a peptide-based replication system that can be detected by following its fluorescence quenching. This process is used to negate the signal of light-activated replication, and thus to prepare the first replication NAND gate.

Instability changes the MAGIC NAND gate to the NOR gate

2019 IEEE International Workshop on Future Computing (IWOFC, 2019
Memristor-based stateful logic demonstrates a method of in-memory computing, which is a promising way to overcome the data-transfer bottleneck in the current von Neumann computer architecture. However, due to the instability, the memristor device exhibits an inherent stochastic switching behavior especially when the applied voltage is in the switching ...

Minimum Parallel Binary Adders with NOR (NAND) Gates

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1979
Parallel binary adders of n bits long in single-rail input logic which have a minimum number of NOR gates are derived in this paper. The minimality of the number of NOR gates is proved for an arbitrary value of n. Also, it is proved that the adders must be a cascade of basic modules and that there exist many different types of basic modules.

MAGIC NAND within NOR gate

2019 IEEE International Workshop on Future Computing (IWOFC, 2019
In-memory computing based on memristor has attracted significant interest for breaking the von Neumann bottleneck and developing high-efficient computing systems. Memristor-based logic gate is one of the most important part to achieve our goals. Recently, there are many methods which have been presented to achieve Boolean functions.

Construction of AND Gate for RTRACS with the Capacity of Extension to NAND Gate

2009
We have succeeded in construction of the AND gate using enzymatic reactions developed for modularized computation elements of the autonomous computing system RTRACS. Experimental results demonstrated that the molecular reaction for the AND gate generated the correct output RNA from input RNAs according to the truth table for the AND gate.

DNA-Based Photonic Logic Gates:  AND, NAND, and INHIBIT

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2002
Conventional microprocessors use elementary logic gates to perform complex computational tasks. Mimicking such computational processes using purely molecular systems has been limited in most cases by the lack of design generality or potential addressability of existing molecular logic gates.

Dynamically NAND gate system on DNA origami template

Computers in Biology and Medicine, 2019
Molecular logic gates play an important role in many fields and DNA-based logic gates are the basis of DNA computers. A dynamically NAND gate system on the DNA origami template is established in this paper. Naturally, the system is stable in solution without any reaction. Different logical values are mapped into different DNA input strands.

NAND/NOR gate polymorphism in low temperature environment

2012 IEEE 15th International Symposium on Design and Diagnostics of Electronic Circuits & Systems (DDECS), 2012
The fundamental aspect behind this paper is focused on behaviour of polymorphic digital circuits in potentially harsh operating environment. The area of polymorphic electronics takes and an advantage of inherently built-in features that open up the possibility for on-the-fly adjustment of a particular circuit function with respect to the environment ...
