Egg Case Ultrastructure in the Narrow-Clawed Crayfish Astacus Leptodactylus Eschscholtz, 1823 (Decapoda, Astacidae)

Crustaceana, 2011
The egg case is an extracellular structure that surrounds an egg cell and the embryo after fertilization. Its basic function is to protect the embryo from potentially harmful aspects of the external environment. Changes in the structure of the egg case at different stages of embryogenesis in the crayfish Astacus leptodactylus were studied, with ...

Noble crayfish and narrow-clawed crayfish hybridisation experiment in natural habitat

2013
Mixed populations of noble (Astacus astacus) and narrow-clawed crayfish (Astacus leptodactylus) can be found across Europe, but the existence of their hybrids has not yet been confirmed. Up till now, hybrids between the two species were obtained in laboratory conditions, however juveniles did not survive.

The state of the population of narrow-clawed crayfish in Lake Sevan (Armenia) under multiple stress conditions

Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, 2023
The narrow-clawed crayfish is a crayfish species that was accidentally introduced into the ecosystem of Lake Sevan in the 1980s. Soon it became one of the most preferred fisheries in the lake and an important link in the food chain by successfully replacing the endemic fish subspecies Sevan khramicarp (Capoeta sevangi, De Filippi, 1865) in the chain of

Screening of selected feedstuffs by sub-adult narrow clawed crayfish, Astacus leptodactylus leptodactylus Eschscholtz, 1823

Aquaculture, 2014
Abstract Apparent crude protein (ADCCP), crude fat (ADCCF) and gross energy (ADCGE) digestibility coefficients of several typical and novel feedstuffs were determined to be employed in formulated diets of sub-adult crayfish (13.35 g). The tested feedstuffs included three fish meals, three terrestrial animal by-products, three plant protein ...

Aeromonas Septicemia Infection and Histopathologic Findings in Cultured Narrow-Clawed Crayfish (Pontastacus leptodactylus, Eschscholtz, 1823)

2023
Bu çalışmada yetiştiriciliği yapılan kerevitlerde (Pontastacus leptodactylus) hastalık belirtileri gösteren 15 adet bireyde bakteriyel, paraziter ve fungal incelemeler yapılmış; patolojik incelemeler için iç organlardan örnek alınmıştır. İncelemeler neticesinde paraziter ve fungal patojene rastlanılmamıştır. Kerevitlerin hepatopankreasından Triptik Soy

Diversification of narrow-clawed crayfish (Pontastacus leptodactylus Eschscholtz, 1823) populations from different parts of Turkey

2019
The present study was to evaluate diversification of crayfish populations based on length and weight measurements. Crayfish were collected from natural stock with fyke-net at five different populations of Turkey in the lakes Iznik (IL), Egirdir (EL) and Sera (SL) as well as Hirfanlı Dam Lake (HD) and Keban Dam Lake (KL) from June to July, 2008.

Application of geometric morphometrics in comparative analyses of noble crayfish and narrow- clawed crayfish and their possible hybrids

2013
Geometric morphometrics (GM) has been widely applied in studying different organisms, and it proved itself as a powerful method in discriminating different stocks, populations or groups of organisms. Up till now, in the freshwater crayfish research, GM has been used only in the white-clawed crayfish (Austropotamobius pallipes). The aim of this research
