The features of narrow-clawed crayfish (Pontastacus leptodactylus Eschscholtz, 1823) population development in Lake Sevan during 1996–2018

open access: yesТрансформация экосистем, 2019
The narrow-clawed crayfish, an invasive hydrobiont of Lake Sevan appeared in the lake due to accidental introduction having occupied almost the entire territory of Lake Sevan, finding favorable conditions for its existence.

Fecundity of the narrow-clawed crayfish Pontastacus leptodactylus in the water bodies of Belarus

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Biological Series, 2023
Pre-larvae hatching fecundity and ovarian fecundity of narrow-clawed crayfish populations were estimated in the lakes and reservoirs of Belarus. Statistically significant differences in the fecundity of females from various water bodies were noted only for Lake Kichino.

Reproductive efficiency of the narrow-clawed crayfish, Astacus leptodactylus, in several populations in Turkey

open access: yesCrustaceana, 2009
Studies were carried out to evaluate the reproductive efficiency of the narrow-clawed crayfish, Astacus leptodactylus Eschscholtz, 1823, in three different populations in the lakes Apolyont, Iznik, and Manyas in Turkey. Crayfish were sampled monthly using fyke-nets of 34 mm mesh size from April 2002 until March 2003.

A COMPARISON OF SURVIVAL AND GROWTH IN JUVENILE ASTACUS LEPTODACTYLUS (ESCH.) AND PACIFASTACUS LENIUSCULUS (DANA) UNDER CONTROLLED CONDITIONS

open access: yesKnowledge and Management of Aquatic Ecosystems, 2006
The aim of this study was to compare survival and growth of juvenile narrow-clawed crayfish (Astacus leptodactylus) and signal crayfish (Pacifastacus leniusculus) fed only with experimental pellets (45% of proteins, 6% of fat, 20% crude fibre) under ...

Impact of Stocking Density on the Survival, Growth and Injury of Narrow Narrow-Clawed Crayfish ( Pontastacus leptodactylus ) Reared in a Flowing Brackish Water System

open access: yesActa Natura et Scientia, 2022
The crayfish population dramatically declined in most lakes and dams in Türkiye; hence, crayfish culture is a possible option to increase the supply. This study aimed to determine the effects of stocking density on the growth performance and survival ...
