Linewidth narrowing in Raman lasers
Raman lasers are well known for wavelength shifting and beam clean up, but less so for linewidth narrowing. Recent advances in design and material choice have enabled stable single frequency operation and the opportunity to investigate their narrow ...

An Alternative Approach to Spontaneous Photon Triplets Generation
Day by day, communication and computing technologies are progressing at a lightning speed, which is particularly true of the quantum version of these technologies (QIST). Increasingly, these technologies are emerging from unusual and sometimes bewildering quantum optical effects, which are based on exotic quantum physical theories.

Measurement technique for narrow-linewidth ferrimagnets
This proposed technique for narrow-linewidth measurement allows one to take into account the radiation-damping contribution to the observed linewidth. Therefore it is possible, considering this important interaction between the sample and circuit, to increase the measurement sensitivity and accuracy.

This study presents toroidal‐dipole (TD)‐driven polarisation‐selective quasi‐bound states in the continuum (quasi‐BICs) in all‐dielectric metasurfaces, enabling transverse magnetic (TM)‐selective excitation with ultrahigh quality factors and wide‐angle‐stable polarisation‐dependent near‐field imaging.

High-power, ultra-low-noise cascaded diamond Raman lasers with spectrum compression
Stimulated Raman scattering is a third-order nonlinear optical effect that is not only effective for wavelength converting laser output, but also for single longitudinal-mode output due to the absence of spatial hole burning. Diamond is a prominent Raman-

The effect of reagents on the structure and performance of sodium‐layered oxides has not yet been thoroughly studied. This work explored this factor systematically through in situ high‐temperature XRD. The samples synthesized via MnCO3‐based precursors form the Li2MnO3 phase at evaluated temperature and perform better than those through MnO2‐based ...

Optimization of CEST MRI Reporter Protein Design Using Cation‐Pi Networks
A novel engineering approach can produce reporter proteins for cell and viral therapy tracking with unique magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) signatures, detectable with chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST). We discover how cation‐π interactions between amino acid groups can help us fine‐tune magnetic resonance properties for noninvasive ...

The correlation of a spectroscopic (EPRI) and microscopic (AFM) technique is demonstrated for a sample of Li deposited on Cu. Areas of different morphology were analysed. The techniques complement each other's length scales as well as the information obtained from the sample.
