Progesterone administration by nasal spray
Fertility and Sterility, 1991The bioavailability and the clinical usefulness of the P administered by nasal spray were investigated. Ten healthy menopausal women received an IN spray administration (4 doses of an oleic P solution 20 mg/mL, corresponding to nearly 11.2 mg of P) and the circulating P levels were calculated.

Infant Oxygen Administration by Modified Nasal Cannula
Clinical Pediatrics, 1984In both pediatric and neonatal intensive care settings, and occasionally at home, there exists the need to deliver chronic low dose oxygen therapy to small, uncooperative patients. To be effective, a method of oxygen delivery must be both reliable and comfortable, and, at the same time, inexpensive and safe.

Nasal administration of low molecular weight heparin
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2002The main objective of this study was to determine if the systemic absorption of therapeutic amounts of heparin was possible following nasal administration. Sprague-Dawley rats received nosedrops containing a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) or unfractionated heparin (UFH) formulated with or without tetradecylmaltoside (TDM).

Emulsion formulations of testosterone for nasal administration
Journal of Microencapsulation, 1998The nasal route has received a great deal of attention due to the many advantages of nasal delivery over parenteral administration. The male sex hormone testosterone is ineffective when administered orally due to its gut wall and first-pass metabolism.

NASAL CATHETER ADMINISTRATION OF OXYGEN
Journal of the American Medical Association, 1934The clinical administration of oxygen is now being employed in many disorders and is being used in the home as well as in the hospital. This has been rendered possible through the improved availability of oxygen and the development of simplified equipment for its administration. In general, it is considered that the inhaled air must contain from 35 to

A new nanovesicular system for nasal drug administration
International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2020The goal of this work was to study the characteristics of a new phospholipid nanovesicular carrier for nasal administration of drugs. Multilamellar vesicles were visualized by electron microscopy, and their mean distribution size of 200 nm was evaluated by DLS. Measured pH and viscosity values were found adequate for a nasal delivery carrier.

Nasal Administration of IgA to Individuals with Hypogammaglobulinemia
Scandinavian Journal of Infectious Diseases, 1993Many immunodeficient patients constantly carry non-typable Hemophilus influenzae (NTHI) in the nasopharynx, despite seemingly adequate antibiotic therapy. We have studied the effect of nasal administration of IgA on nasopharyngeal colonization in 5 patients with hypogammaglobulinemia, with a productive cough, especially in the mornings, who were ...
