Sensitivity analysis-guided model reduction of a mathematical model of pembrolizumab therapy for de novo metastatic MSI-H/dMMR colorectal cancer [PDF]
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide and the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in adults under 55, involving a complex interplay of biological processes such as dendritic cell (DC) maturation and migration, T cell activation and proliferation, cytokine production, and T cell and natural killer (NK) cell ...

Sepsis is a syndrome with hyperactivity of TH17-like innate immunity and hypoactivity of adaptive immunity [PDF]
Currently, there are two major theories for the pathogenesis of sepsis: hyperimmune and hypoimmune. Hyperimmune theory suggests that cytokine storm causes the symptoms of sepsis. On the contrary, hypoimmune theory suggests that immunosuppression causes the manifestations of sepsis.

Natural killer cells in meningiomas.
A monoclonal antibody against the surface marker IOT-10 of natural killer (NK) cells was used to investigate the presence of these cells in a series of twenty intracranial meningiomas. In all of these tumours, IOT-10 positive NK cells were found in small numbers, mainly distributed among the tumor cells.

To suppress uveal melanoma metastasis (UM), the GSH‐responsive polymer named NP@Oxa/Criz has been successfully prepared. NP@Oxa/Criz selectively accumulates in UM tumors, targeting HGF/c‐Met Axis to undermine the stemness and metastasis of UM while triggering immunogenic cell death through DAMPs release to boost anti‐tumor immunity.

Phosphotyrosines in the killer cell inhibitory receptor motif of NKB1 are required for negative signaling and for association with protein tyrosine phosphatase 1C. [PDF]
NKB1 is one member of a growing family of killer cell inhibitory receptors (KIR). It is expressed on natural killer (NK) cells and T cells, and has been shown to inhibit cytolytic functions of these cells upon interacting with its ligand, HLA-B (Bw4). We

Dendrimer Conjugates with PD‐L1‐Binding Peptides Enhance In Vivo Antitumor Immune Response
In this paper, a novel nanoparticle scaffold composed of dendrimers conjugated with peptide‐based immune checkpoint inhibitors, enhancing drug delivery efficacy is introduced. By conjugating PD‐L1‐binding peptides to dendrimers, multivalent binding effects are harnessed, resulting in enhanced binding affinity, prolonged half‐life, and improved ...
