A Dual‐Bioresponsive and Programmable Microneedle Matrix as a Bioinspired Coupler for Orchestrating Diabetic Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This project developed a smart bandage‐like patch (a microneedle array) for repairing diabetic bone damage. It intelligently senses signals from infection and inflammation, then releases its medicines in a specific, timed sequence: first an antibacterial agent, then an anti‐inflammatory agent, and finally growth factors.

Extranodal, nasal, natural Killer T-cell lymphoma of the lacrimal gland: A case report

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology. Case Reports
Natural killer T-cell lymphomas involving the lacrimal gland are extremely rare. The prognosis of this type of lymphoma is poor, with 12-month mortality rates over 87%.

Characterisation of T cell defects in acute myeloid leukaemia

open access: yes, 2009
PhDUnderstanding the immune system in patients with cancer and how it interacts with malignant cells is critical for the development of successful immunotherapeutic strategies at a time when novel cancer treatment approaches are required.

Bamboo Medical Application: A State‐of‐the‐Art Review

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review presents a structured classification of bamboo's current use in healthcare. It organizes applications into medical textiles and medical devices, with further divisions based on function and level of invasiveness. It also examines material utilization based on bamboo's structural role, highlighting how it supports both protective and ...

Natural Killer Cells Suppress T Cell-Associated Tumor Immune Evasion

open access: yesCell Reports, 2019
Summary: Despite the clinical success of cancer immunotherapies, the majority of patients fail to respond or develop resistance through disruption of pathways that promote neo-antigen presentation on MHC I molecules.

Presentation of an Immunodominant Immediate-Early CD8+ T Cell Epitope Resists Human Cytomegalovirus Immunoevasion. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Control of human cytomegalovirus (HCMV) depends on CD8+ T cell responses that are shaped by an individual's repertoire of MHC molecules. MHC class I presentation is modulated by a set of HCMV-encoded proteins.

Pathogenesis and biomarkers of natural killer T cell lymphoma (NKTL)

open access: yesJournal of Hematology & Oncology, 2019
Natural killer T cell lymphoma (NKTL) is an aggressive disease with very poor treatment outcomes in the advanced stages. With chemotherapy, initial response rates to treatment are high but responses are short lived.
