EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Unzipping of the Conjugate Fault System During the 2024 Mw7.4 Hualien Earthquake

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
On 2 April 2024, a Mw7.4 earthquake struck Taiwan's eastern coast near Hualien City. The fault responsible for the mainshock remained under debate due to the region's complex plate boundary system and intricate fault interactions.

Near-Fault Tilted Deformation of Buildings Associated with Coseismic Surface Ruptures in the Shenxigou Section, 2008 Mw 7.9 Wenchuan Earthquake, Eastern Tibet [PDF]

open access: yesLithosphere
The coseismic surface ruptures associated with large earthquakes contribute to severe damage to near-fault buildings through fault deformation. However, previous studies simplified geological conditions and were based mainly on numerical and physical ...

Study on characteristic parameters of near-fault response spectrum

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2018
883 vertical earthquake records within the fault distance of 100 km were selected to study that whether the vertical design response spectrum characteristic parameter should be also used for the seismic design of engineering structure in near-fault region.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Coseismic Deformation Obtained by Various Technical Methods and Its Constraint Ability to Slip Models of Maduo Earthquake

open access: yesRemote Sensing
The coseismic deformation field on both sides of the fault, especially the distribution and change characteristics of near-field deformation, not only provides important constraints for the fine inversion of the slip distribution model but also serves as
