Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Translating whole‐genome doubling into precision medicine in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Whole‐genome doubling creates a WGD‐positive tumor state characterized by persistent chromosomal instability, karyotypic diversification, and cellular stress. These same biological pressures drive aggressive tumor evolution while exposing therapeutic vulnerabilities, providing a rationale for WGD‐informed precision medicine. Whole‐genome doubling (WGD)

Single‐cell DNA methylation profiling: Technologies, computation, and applications in precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell DNA methylation (scDNAme) profiling maps epimutational clonal evolution, revealing mechanisms of malignancy and therapeutic resistance across diverse cancer types. By providing a high‐resolution landscape of intratumoral heterogeneity, these technologies empower precise patient stratification, guide the development of enhanced ...

L-Fuzzy rough point-wise proximity spaces

open access: yesApplied General Topology
In this paper, we study the concept of nearness between L-fuzzy rough sets and L-fuzzy points. The nearness between two L-fuzzy rough sets are viewed in terms of this new concept.

The Pitman nearness criterion and its determination

open access: yes, 1986
A general method for determining Pitman Nearness is given In the case of univariate estimators. This method is then applied to some estimation problems. The concept of Pitman Nearness is also generalized to the multivariate case.

Interferon beta drives therapy resistance in a patient‐derived model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Interferon type 1 (IFN‐1) production and signaling is associated with the acquisition of therapy resistance, following chronic DNA damage, via Interferon‐related DNA damage resistance signature (IRDS) gene expression. An alternative, DNA damage‐independent role of sustained IFN‐1 mediated resistance was identified and characterized by the emergence of ...

Some notes on connectedness in nearness frames

open access: yes, 2018
We study the uniform connection properties of uniform local connectedness, a weaker variant of the latter, and a certain property S in the context of nearness frames.

The Tamano-Dowker type theorems for nearness frames

open access: yes, 1995
Through the coproduct of two nearness frames we prove the localic version of the Tamano-Dowker type theorems for nearness spaces as obtained by Bentley (1991).

Pattern Distinguished Based on the Fuzzy Similarity Nearness for the State Recognition of Rotating Machinery

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 1994
In this paper, the concepts about similarity factor and nearness are summarized and a new method of pattern distinguished based on the fuzzy similarity nearness (PFSN) is proposed.
