Nonviral Gold Nanoparticle‐Mediated Delivery of CRISPR‐Cas9 Ribonucleoprotein and Long DNA Transgenes Into Primary Blood Cells

CRISPR/Cas9 has revolutionized the field of gene therapy, but delivery remains an outstanding issue. We propose a nonviral gold‐nanoparticle platform for co‐delivery of CRISPR/Cas9 ribonucleoprotein and long 2.1 kilobase dsDNA transgene constructs. G protein‐coupled receptors (GPCRs) are major therapeutic targets. Modulating GPCR activity through intracellular sites is evolving. A structure‐ and computation‐assisted approach generated small G protein‐derived peptidomimetics targeting the intracellular binding crevice of the β2 adrenergic receptor mimicking features of the full G protein.

Biobased Polyurethane Films Based on Andiroba (Carapa guianensis) and Buriti (Mauritia flexuosa) Oil Polyols

Polyurethane films were prepared from andiroba (Carapa guianensis) and buriti (Mauritia flexuosa) oil‐derived polyols, emphasizing their potential as bio‐based materials. UV–Vis analysis indicates the retention of carotenoid‐related chromophoric features within the polymer matrix.
