Beyond the Fixed Charge: A New On‐Tissue Derivatisation Strategy Employing Photoionisable Chromophores for Mass Spectrometry Imaging of Amino‐Containing Metabolites

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We introduce a novel chemical derivatisation strategy for the UV‐activated detection of elusive metabolites. Incorporation of a tocopherol‐active chromophore allows for the detection of tagged analytes as photoionised radical cations, selectively induced by a 266 nm laser.

TP53 R249S mutation in hepatic organoids captures the predisposing cancer risk

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
The systematic approach in elucidating the gain‐of‐function (GOF) roles of TP53 mutations in early liver carcinogenesis. Unique downstream targets of TP53 L3 mutations were identified from chormatin immunoprecipitation sequencing in HCC cell lines, followed by a series of validation assays to substantiate the exclusive transcriptional regulations ...

E.: Neoplastic transformation of mouse and hamster cells in vitro with and without polyoma virus [PDF]

open access: yes, 1967
SUMMARY-Several cell lines were examined under different culture conditions in an effort to find one that would not undergo "spontaneous" neoplastic transformation but could be transformed by polyoma virus.

Myelodysplastic Syndromes: 2026 Update on Diagnosis, Risk‐Stratification and Management

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Disease Overview The myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) are a heterogeneous group of myeloid disorders characterized by peripheral blood cytopenias and increased risk of transformation to acute myelogenous leukemia (AML). MDS occurs more frequently in older males and in individuals with prior exposure to cytotoxic therapy.

Role of intercellular adhesion molecules in the development of the endometrial neoplasias

open access: yesRUDN Journal of Medicine, 2011
In article the processes of intercellular adhesion in unchanged proliferating endometrium, hyperplasia and adenocarcinoma are surveyed. Expression E-kadherin, β-katenin and claudin-1 at different stages of epithelial neoplastic transformation of ...

Eltrombopag Added to Standard Immunosuppressive Treatment as Front‐Line Therapy for Severe Aplastic Anemia: Long‐Term Outcomes of the Phase‐3 Randomized Superiority EBMT‐SAAWP RACE Study

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The RACE study (NCT02009747) compared horse antithymocyte globulin (hATG) plus cyclosporine A (CsA) ± eltrombopag as initial immunosuppressive treatment (IST) for severe aplastic anemia. Here we report the final 2‐year analysis of this prospective randomized phase III study.
