[Morphogenesis of nephrocyte dystrophy].

Arkhiv patologii, 1983
Morphogenesis of dystrophy of nephrocytes was studied by analysis of 106 biopsies of kidneys from patients with glomerulonephritis using light (semi-thin sections) and electron microscopy. The development of one or another kind of nephrocyte dystrophy was shown to be due to the deficiency of certain mechanisms of renal reabsorption and secretion ...

Cytochemical localization of calcium in renal sac nephrocytes of Helix aspersa

Tissue and Cell, 1989
In renal sac nephrocytes of Helix aspersa, intracellular calcium has been localized using the oxalate-pyroantimonate (OPA) and phosphate-pyroantimonate (PPA) methods. Pyroantimonate precipitates are preferentially localized in the excretory spherule and in vesicles located in the basal and lateral regions of the nephrocyte.

The cytoskeleton of the ventral nephrocytes of Ceratitis capitata larva

Cell & Tissue Research, 1994
Nephrocytes are cells involved in the regulation of the composition of the hemolymph and are characterized by peripheral finger-like projections delimiting a labyrinthine channel system. We have combined structural and immunological methods to examine the spatial distribution of microtubules and microfilaments in disseminated nephrocytes of Ceratitis ...

Immunocytochemical localization of lysozyme in the nephrocytes of the harvestman, Leiobunum rotundum

Tissue and Cell, 1995
Nephrocytes are cells involved in the metabolism of hemolymph components and are characterized by peripheral finger-like projections bordering a labyrinthine channel system. The antibacterial protein lysozyme was localized in anterior and pericardial nephrocytes of the harvestman, Leiobunum rotundum, by biochemical and immuno-gold postembedding ...

Fine structure of the fat body and nephrocytes in the life-stages ofDermacentor variabilis

Experimental & Applied Acarology, 1990
The fine structure of the fat body and associated nephrocytes of the American dog tick, Dermacentor variabilis (Say), was described in unfed larvae, unfed nymphs, and in unfed and fed adults of both sexes. The fat body consisted of one type of cell, the trophocyte.

Drosophila melanogaster and its nephrocytes: A versatile model for glomerular research

2019
Glomerular disorders are a predominant cause of chronic kidney diseases and end-stage renal failure. Especially podocytes, epithelial cells which represent the outermost part of the filtration barrier, are affected by disease and experience a gradual loss of function. Despite recent advances in identifying potential pathways underlying podocyte injury,

Nitrophenylphosphatase activity in the kidney sac nephrocytes of Helix aspersa.

Basic and applied histochemistry, 1985
A cytochemical study of p-nitrophenylphosphatase activity in the renal sac of Helix aspersa was carried out, for which the organ was divided in three parts: posterior, middle and anterior. The apical, lateral and basal plasma membranes of the nephrocytes were shown to have both L-cysteine and ouabain sensitive phosphatase activities.
