Development of Nested Polymerase Chain Reaction for Detection of Rabies

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2022
Abstract Rabies is an acute progressive and zoonotic disease which is caused by the rabies virus. Rabies virus is the prototype virus belonging to the genus lyssavirus in the family Rhabdoviridae of the order Mononegavirales. The aim of this study was to develop a nested reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (nRTPCR) for the ...

Detection of Legionella pneumophila Using a Nested Polymerase Chain Reaction

open access: yesJournal of the Japanese Association for Infectious Diseases, 1992
We evaluated the usefulness of a Nested PCR method for detecting Legionella pneumophila. This method resulted in L. pneumophila specific detection as far as we evaluated. The first and second step PCR achieved the sensitivity as small as 10 pg and 10 fg of the target DNA, respectively.

A Novel Nested Polymerase Chain Reaction (n-PCR) Assay for Identifying Sorghum nitidum

open access: yesNotulae Scientia Biologicae, 2011
This work developed a novel nested polymerase chain reaction (n-PCR) assay to identify Sorghum nitidum (S. nitidum). It has been designed a set of specific n-PCR inner primers Snit5/Snit2 and outer primers Nout1/Nout2 based on a conserved nucleotide ...
